The original Haverford Blog was started in 2003 as an online community bulletin board for Haverford Township. It was in operation in that format for 6 1/2 years and had over 1.5 million visits in that time.
The New Haverford Blog is now a website that publishes the campaign finance reports of political candidates and committees in Haverford Township.
The Haverford Blog has always been owned and operated by Larry Chrzan. Chrzan is a Haverford Township Democratic Party committee person, Dem Ward Leader in the 7th Ward, and currently a candidate for 7th Ward Commissioner in 2011. Chrzan has challenged all candidates for Commissioner to accept no campaign contributions from those who do business with Haverford Township, and has pledged to never take such contributions.
